Identifying and processing the effects of growing up inside families or communities who have not been fully supportive or even hostile helps my clients to address challenges that are preventing them from having full, meaningful, and successful lives. Addressing specific LGBTQ issues often resolves many other life challenges.
Gay Men, Meth, and Sexual Compulsivity
Some members of our community struggle with the effects of overuse of party drugs and sexually compulsive experiences that they are no longer able to control. What used to be a fun night out or a hot sexual experience can transform into painful dependence on crystal meth, losing friends, missing work, or frequently contracting sexually transmitted infections. My work with gay men struggling with meth and sexual compulsivity is extensive, both in my private practice as well as residential and outpatient settings. I am passionate about this topic and provide trainings to other professionals as well as lay people looking to learn more. You can learn more on my dedicated website: gaymenmethandsex.com.
